Cost is commonly cited as being at the top of the list of concerns when engaging interim managers as at first glance, the day rates can seem high compared with full time employment.    However, in many cases, cost comparisons are not made on a like for like basis.  Taking into account the cost of employee related overheads (Employers’ NI and pension payments), other employee benefits (Company cars) and the hidden employment costs (paid time for holidays, training and any sickness) it is normally cheaper to engage an experienced interim manager who can deliver solutions quickly and effectively. Also bear in mind, there are no upfront recruitment fees and no long term commitments or employment rights.

 

An interim manager can also be recruited to work on a flexible, or part-time or on a project basis which some cases can be contracted on a fixed fee basis.
